Tuesday November 17th: 3 PT, 4 MT, 5 CT, 6 ET

Data Centers have swarmed communities all across the country; bringing with them massive power plants, extreme water use, demands for tax breaks, and incredible amounts of political power. This swarm has led to one of the biggest organizing moments in generations. People all across the country are winning against data center developers and deciding what they actually want for their communities. As the organizing landscape rapidly shifts we are bringing together organizer involved in site fights to:

  1. Share an analysis of what the data center fight looks like now and how it has progressed over the past 2 years.
  2. Equip organizers with the tools to understand what stage of the fight they are in and the common leverage points.
  3. Share stories and common elements of winning campaigns.
  4. Share the organizing, policy, and technical assistance resources available to site fight organizers.

This session is co-hosted by the Data Center Working Group, AI Now Institute, Athena Coalition, The Better Data Center Project, Free Press, Halt the Harm, Kairos Fellowship, and more.
